Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Okay okay. I know this is super damn freaking late for a movie review for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. But, I can't help it! Blame Debra Devita James!

Haha. Joke.

Anyway, I did not have much expectation towards the Harry Potter movies. Stopped watching them after the 3rd one as I was quite disappointed with it. The book is sooooo much better. And yes, I personally have read the entire Harry Potter sagas by J.K. Rowling.

So, apparently, heard from many people that Harry Potter 6 was actually quite a leap from the previous movies and was actually a very good one. So yea, decided to give it a try.

So, the Dark Lord rises again. Both the world of the magical beings and Muggles are in a mess, no place is safe anymore. And that's how it was portrayed in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

I have to say that I am quite impressed with this movie. Perhaps I did not have much expectation towards it. Perhaps I was comparing this one with the third movie. But oh well, I really like how this movie was - dark, very dark, though it was quite short I have to say.

Despite the need to portray the seriousness and dark era when Voldemort is in control again, the director still managed to inject some humour here and there. Mostly, the jokes come from scenes of young teenage hormones. I guess it's time for the series to take a twist and focus on relationships. I mean, it's a fact that Harry Potter (starred by Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ronald Weasley (Rupert Grint) are now in the peak of their adolescence years. Good time to insert some romance in the show.

Still, I guess they kinda got too excited with this topic and over-added too many scenes of it in this movie. Harry Potter likes Ginny Weasley but couldn't confess since she's the sister of his best buddy. Ginny Weasley being with Dean Thomas (is it Dean Thomas?) but always are in an argument. Ginny secretly liking Harry too. Some chick likes Harry, attempted to feed him with love potion. Ron consumed the love potion by mistake. Hermione likes Ron. Ron likes Hermione. Both have no idea about the mutual feeling. Lavender Brown likes Ron. Lavender got together with Ron. Hermione got jealous. Some dude who tried out for the Quidditch team likes Hermione. Dunno how dunno how blablabla. You get the drill. Go watch the movie la. It's quite a laugh, especially when Ron took the love potion instead of Harry.

So yea. Professor Snape (played by Alan Rickman) and Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) are extremely mysterious and the actors played these roles well in this movie. Portrayed evil quite convincingly. Oh, and Bellatrix Lestrange (by Helena Bonham Carter) is mad, really well acted too. There goes for the villians, which are quite awesome this time round. Evilly awesome.

So, I give a 3.5/5 for this one.

Jees. Made me wanna read the whole of Harry Potter series again. Gah. Guess I should try watching the 4th and 5th of the Harry Potter movie series too.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past Movie Review

So the day of the premiere screening for Ghosts of Girlfriends Past finally arrived. Watched it yesterday at TGV, 1 Utama. THANKS NUFFNANG!

Waited for like 2 months (or so) for this movie mannn.

The movie started off nicely, portraying Connor Mead (played by Matthew McConaughey) being successful, not only as a photographer, but also as a womanizer. Life was good for him, he gets what he wants and ditches the women when he got bored of them. But, I guess life was TOO good to him, his dead Uncle Wayne, the one in which footsteps Connor Mead chose to follow, (the one played by Michael Douglas), came to him to teach him a lesson.

The concept is exactly an extraction from Charles' Dickens' popular Christmas tale, "The Christmas Carol", just smartly adjusted. So, through a whole series of Mead's past and present, leading to a lousy future, we learned a very, very important lesson - "Power lies in the hand of the person who loves less. But power isn't happiness. Happiness lies in the hands of the person who loves more." Hmmmm... Oh! And also, another equally important lesson: Never, ever cheat a woman's heart, or in this case, women's hearts. Karma exists, remember that! (Women, applause!)

Anyway, blablabla, fast forward. Connor Mead realised him being in love with Jenny Perotti (played by Jennifer Garner) probably throughout his whole life. And he realised it only through the series of visits by the 3 ghosts of his past, present and future.

Cliche ending, though still a pretty good one, I love happy endings. Haha. All in all, I had a good time watching this movie. Plenty of awww moments, good comedies, even better lines. Very brilliant ones indeed. I give two thumb-ups to the script writer.

So, conclusion made. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is certainly a movie worth watching. I mean, good looking actors/ actresses, good music, good story line, and good humour, what more can you ask for? Even guys (who I assumed wouldn't favour any typical rom-coms) actually enjoyed Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.

And I shall give a 4.5/5 for this one =)

ps/ I went to the premiere screening for The Proposal like last night. And guess what? I liked it even better than Ghosts of Girlfriends Past!!!!! Haha. It's pretty an even awesome movie. Serious! Just quite a lack of publicity I guess?

Don't want to wait no more

Okay. Good news, I've got my memory card and laptop back. Thanks, Melissa Jie jie. And thanks Dad.

Been another long day again. Shall just blog about the movies and Wednesday, Thursday and Today along with tomorrow's day the next time I blog.

Had an extremely heavy dinner just now. Pfft. Big fat pig me. Gah.

Anyway, check out Ann's blog. She blogged about her first climbing experience already. And how nice of her to call me weird for having a "neat" bed? Hahah. I like how she express things. So funny. Owh well. And I have fats, not muscles, Ann. And no, my stamina sucks. You just need more determination to finish the wall only. You ain't weak la Ann, it's just your thinking :)

Gah. On the progress of trying to get over him, friends are supportive with my option. Seeing they agreed he's one wrong choice. Sigh. Dwelling over the good memories, waiting for something that won't happen, waste of time la. Sigh. If only I could keep reminding myself of the negative things and not hanging on to all the good times, it will be so much easier. I had a very very good time liking him. And also many bad times getting hurt. Though I doubt he realised. Hmmm. Been hanging out alot with those few friends who are helping me through it properly this time, thanks guys =)

Got this from Jess Min's blog:
To forget someone you care for,
You have to find someone else you care for much more.

Si Jin told me that too.
Problem is,
I don't want to fall anymore.

Better get some sleep. Another long day ahead.

Rant rant rant

GAH! Stupid me. Got problem with my camera's memory card, thanks to my klutziness. Sigh. Currently unable to upload pictures up =( I really really wanted to put up those rock climbing pictures!!!

Sob.

And my laptop... heard from the technician that it's slightly burnt. DAMN! Blardy hell.

Anyway, the past 2 days were uh, bittersweet? Had some issues with family, pfft. Am turning to my friends more often now. Kinda got myself involved in sports more too... which is good. Though Mum wouldn't really like me joining what she calls, the "guys' sports". True la, rock climbing is like one extreme sports, basketball is more of the guys' activity. But, HEY! I'm playing netball now ok. Not entirely serious in it. But, I probably will. Lost 2kg after quitting my job due to the hustle. Good, seeing that I gained more than the double of that during my working period. Stupid job.

So, I just came back from watching Ghosts of Girlfriends' Past movie premiere screening at TGV, 1 Utama. I must say that I enjoyed it quite alot. Pretty awesome storyline. Good looking casts. Funny remarks. Nice :) Will blog about that movie soon. Not a good time now. Seeing it's like 2.30am and I'm damn sleepy after completing that proposal of mine. Sucks not to have my laptop with me.

Had this small talk with Li Foong just now. Got me thinking of stuffs. Actually, it wasn't just from her. Had similar conversations with a few other friends. Most of them had the same opinion. I guess I need to start taking action instead of staying in this same situation, wasting time contemplating on those 2 options. Getting over it probably is the best. Sigh. Easier said than done -_-"

Anyway, another long day ahead! Better go sleep now. Can't wait to get back my laptop and camera's memory card. Hope all those pictures are still safely in it. AHHHHHHHH! Wanna see the pictures laaaaaa =(

District 9

Been long since I've attended a movie premiere screening. And since this opportunity arrived, of course I would try my luck again in getting those free movie passes, this time, it's District 9.

Okay, it's supposed to be released on the August 13th I heard. Marked it down in my phone's reminder to watch it within that week. The trailer seems awesome, probably will be a movie worth watching! Woot!

Haven't caught the trailer yet? Jees. You should!
Here you go:

Awesome, ain't it?

Gah! Hope I get to watch this movie before the release date!!! Really wanna watch it. Hope I get the premiere passes.

THANKS NUFFNANG! =D

HMC Mini Rush-a-thon 2009

Okay. So I went for the Rush-a-thon organized by Agnes yesterday. It was fun la, all the running and stupid stuffs. Had my heart pumping and blood rushing. Been long since I experienced that d. See? Told you I need more exercise.

Well, my team didn't win. But it was a close call. We can even get 1st, just if those little things didn't happen. Sigh. So damn depressed and pissed. I don't mind losing when I know I can't help it. But when I lost because of some happenings that shouldn't have happened and the thought of me not doing anything to change them and also knowing that how close I was to winning... I get angry and pissed... at myself.

Sigh. Si Jin is so damn calm and keep asking us to forget it since it has passed. Gosh. He's still the same old lao ren jia la. Never change wan. Haha. Guess he's right, complaining doesn't help, makes me feel bad.

However, certain people kinda blamed one of my teammates for the loss. I didn't like it when they start blaming MY teammate when I didn't even blame her/him. Keeps reminding me of how close we were to winning, then I start blaming myself for not turning around to notice her behind me and declare victory. Shrugs.

Well... Dad picked up Si Jin and we left for HELP Main Block around 7.45am. It supposed to start at 8am. But, oh well... some teams were late. So they postponed it to 9.30am. So my teammates and I, meaning, Si Jin, Victoria and I went to have a light breakfast. 3 of us were from the same primary school man. And I chose them cause of their awesome stamina. It's ok, things don't always go our way =/

Group picture before the race:

Lunch as one of the challenges:

No no. Drinking ain't one of them. I'm just always dehydrated after sports.

Pictures taken during the 25 minutes penalty:

The team members =)

with Agnes, the organiser

with our 3rd supervisor, we called him Jeet

After lunch, we left for One Utama. Made friends with the other 3 teams. Had fun laughing about stuffs in the bus. Haha. The bus driver was so awesome! She helped us to reach One Utama fast by increasing the speed. SO SUPER NICE OF HER =D She was the same driver to drop us back to HELP Main Block too. Haha.

Anyway, reached One Utama. Some complications occured. Gah. Couldn't be bothered to join in. Finished some tasks. Went back to HELP.

Our supervisor! xD He's super awesome. He said he felt like one of the members in our team even though he's not supposed to feel like that and that he had fun with us. LOL! So awesome la him =D

Si Jin meditating in the bus LOL

Reached the bus stop opposite HELP and raced down to the main entrance. Louis got there first. I reached second. Si Jin and another teammate of Louis got there third. But some others took wrong directions. Blablabla. We got third in the end. Sigh. I'm too tired to think of the what-ifs already.

With our first 2 supervisors :)

Went Spinky after that. Was so exhausted already. Having 2 hours of sleep the night before ain't a good idea -_-"

Louis, baldy again

With Khai Yii's team, ding dong Jerleong didn't go -_-"

Left Spinky and took a cab back to SS2. Visited Si Jin's place and had an hour of chit-chatting about old times and old friends... again. Haha. Went to Murni with Si Jin, Victoria and Si Jin's lil sister after that for dinner. Yum, good dinner. Went home, thanks Si Jin for the ride =)

Super exhausted. Fell asleep in front of laptop again -_-"

Woke up like 3pm today. And my sleep ain't all replenished yet. Gah. Moody day. Miss ahem alot but couldn't bring myself to chat with him. Don't feel like playing sports today, no mood. Going pasar later with friends... sigh. Hope it will lift my mood. Need to gao tim student council paper work later on too. Ish.

Netball and student council duties tomorrow! Enjoyed last week. Hope this week is going to be a good one too! :)

Public Enemies, "Bye Bye Blackbird"

I procrastinate alot, bla, it's bad, don't learn it from me. Anyway, finally got to watch Public Enemies, with Victoria. All 3 plans on watching it with Louis, Li Foong and Ann on separate days failed! Bla.

Some friends said it's boring and the movie's bad. But, I was still up for watching it, nope, I'm no fan of Johnny Depp. Am neutral about him. I'm just currently into movies with more serious sense. Don't know why, just the sudden mood. Heard from Gene and many other friends about Harry Potter 6. Gene was telling me how good the movie was and how serious the setting is this time round if compared to the previous ones. Damn sad la couldn't watch it on the 1st day with Louis, need to wait for one week later to watch it with Debra since I promised to treat her. Pfft. Owh well, a promise is a promise! =/

"Public Enemies", based on a true story of John Dillinger (1903-1934), a Robin Hood-alike bank robber during the Great Depression era of America. Well, "Public Enemies", to me, it's like a classic hollywood movie with Johnny Depp as the main man, John Dillinger.

Love the accent, love the act. Johnny Depp especially, the way he sang when he got the bank manager and that other guy as hostages. Haha. He has that accent in it while he sang wei, pro! Without a doubt, Johnny Depp is quite an actor, having the ability to play various type of characters, pro la. Dillinger is, hmmm, how do you describe him... Okay, this may not be the best description, but he's a not-so-typical gentlemanly gangster/ bank robber. Even when he catches the women as hostages, he still treats them with respect. And he robs the bank's, not the people's money. Reminds me of this video I watched on youtube about an extremely polite shop robber. Weird kind of funny.

John Dillinger's girlfriend, Billie Frechette (starring Cotillard) made quite an impact too in my opinion, I personally think that she has the poise and is quite pretty. Victoria said that she's considered pretty only in that era; which I quite disagree. We all have different opinions, I kinda think that she has the image of an older version of Katy Perry. I kinda realised ah, there are many recent movies in which the actresses kept reminding me of her, Katy Perry I mean. Remember Yes Man? The actress, I think her name is Zooey something, she looks like Katy Perry too. Not quite la, but still. There's some small resemblance.

I guess it ain't meant to be funny, but there are some dry humour in certain parts. Or maybe not. Maybe it's just me being weird to find them funny? Haha. The part where Billie ran out from the bathroom to check on Dillinger and having to be asked to "put some clothes on" by one of the FBI agent. Even the part where John Dillinger and friends actually got caught just because the hotel got caught on fire and the police just found their guns was... quite, but not quite funny. It's like, super wtf. Their special FML moment, especially for John Dillinger when he was about to get intimate with his Billie and the agents just crashed in. Damn.

Also, certain parts which puts me in awe. Like the time when Dillinger just walked into the Dillinger's Squad department so openly without even getting noticed. The guts of him to actually ask for the score for a baseball game in which the police officers were listening to on the radio without being afraid of getting caught. The confidence. Still, they said that sometimes the most dangerous place is actually the safest. The officers will never even dream of Dillinger being in the office of the Dillinger's Squad. And how about when he got caught by Purvis (Christian Bale, fame from The Dark Knight), he was so sure of being able to escape again.

Well, being a bank robber ain't a great thing, but Johnny Depp made John Dillinger seems so likable with a punch of the celebrity factor. I can't help it but to feel sad when Dillinger got shot in the head. Though I guess he's ready for it, the scene of the movie he was watching before his death kinda explained it. However, a weird thing is to have the supposedly "lady in red" (some prostitute named Anna Sage) to not being dressed in red kinda ruined the actual happening of the lady in red betrayal towards Dillinger back in 1934. Okay, I have done abit of research on this. Apparently, in 1934 when Anna Sage promised to be in a red dress to help the FBI to capture Dillinger in exchange of the cancellation of her deportation, she did not exactly followed what has promised and showed up in orange. WHICH was quite like what was being shown in the movie itself. However, they did not mention anything about the lady in red betrayal in the movie, though it's quite a something in the history of the public enemy era. Oh well...

I sat in the cinema for approximately 2 and a half hours, including the adverts. Was quite a long movie. My ass hurts from sitting. Still, it's quite a movie. I personally liked it. Johnny Depp gets my compliments again, he's awesome. Ever since I watched Edward Scissorhands, I have enjoyed his performance in other movies too. Anyway, I give a 3/5 for this movie.

2 gone cause of the butt ache I have to go through.

Joke :D

Sorry for being long-winded, I find these criminal stories fascinating. It works the mind. Makes me feel smart. HAHA! And sorry for all grammar errors, it's 3.30am and I'm half asleep while typing all these. Brain ain't functioning properly -_-" Plus, my English ain't that good to begin with anyway.

Okay. Better go get some sleep! Long day ahead! Have to wake up in 3 and a half hours time. Gosh. Wanna win for the HMC Rush la. Like Victoria said, it's a good experience, if this turns out good, we might even consider to partcipate in the real Rush Race in Melaka next month. Now, that's a big deal. Though we will have to pay 10 times the amount we are paying for the event later. Haha. Jees. Okay la. Sleep. Bye!

Just normal daily stuffs

I woke up to a horrible mood. Felt like snapping at everyone. Needed some time alone I guess. Went out, had a trip with myself around BU and then took the bus to college, missed Taekwondo and meeting, so I just went to get some discussions done with my lecturer advisor and Mr. Loh.

Wasted time in college. Bumped into Agnes, she told me about this event she's organizing. Sounds fun but the participation has not reach the breakeven point. I understand how is it in event organising and since she's a friend, I decided to support her in it though it's quite pricey =/ Rang up a few friends but fail la, nobody wants to join, mahal siud. Was scared to upset her cause I have plans to go frisbee and basketball with friends too.

But anyway, last minute decision, I'm joining! With Victoria and Si Jin =D Ex-Puay Chai-ians mannnn.

Met up with Joe Fendy after that, went for lunch with him at Ali Maju. Walked pass Mama's Kitchen, saw some aunty standing in front of it selling waffles, look super familiar. So I went up and ask if she was the same aunty selling waffles in front of Blitzone. Turns out she is. LOL! Owh man, she remembers me as the one who just randomly buy waffles from her even though I'm not takei-ing at Blitzone. Always the same order "chocolate and peanut butter". Hahah.

Lunch and short chatting session with Joe about stuffs. Was debating about leaders and stuffs -_-" Had a good time catching up though. Been months when we actually sat down and chat. Was talking about how we met in Form 5 really randomly through volleyball when I got myself headshot by some junior who served so stupidly and got the volleyball hit straight in my face -_-" Hahah. Funny times.

Went home by bus and train. Missed my stop and got off at Kelana Jaya station. Was contemplating to take the train back to Taman Bahagia or just get off that station itself and visit Li Foong. Chose the latter.

Had fun helping Li Foong clearing her stuffs. Was like planning for stuffs to do tomorrow if I'm not going for the Rush event. Guess ain't gonna happen la since I'm going d =( Nevermind Li Foong, I'm still seeing you on Monday for netball and Thursday for karaoke and movie =D

Went off to the park behind her house for a some more chit-chatting and then joined Adrian and friends in some basketball... I spoilt my left croc there T____T Gah. Still wearable and not that noticable la. Haih. Heartache.

Thank you Li Foong for fetching me back =)

Anyway, the Rush event's tomorrow. I just found out Louis is joining too. Don't know who are the rest of our opponents. Better win mannnn! xD Though we don't want much pressure on ourselves. But another day to hang out with Victoria and Si Jin is quite awesome enough la. Haven't been seeing them till recently. Si Jin especially, it has been 7 years since I last saw him =/ Need to hang out gao gao (which is what we are currently doing, went out 3 times in just a week's time, summore gonna go rock climb next week together! Woot =D) before he leaves for Singapore =(

AHHHHHHHHHHHH! Am chatting with Victoria about tomorrow. So excited WHeeeeeeeee~ Wanna win laaaaa!

Lazy, fat blogger (editted)

Read Yinnie's blog just now. Reminds me of how little I blog d nowadays. The blogging mojo died off.

Anyway, uploading pictures takes super duper long, so I shall not upload many pictures la now. Don't really have time to wait for those damn pics and vids to be uploaded. There's always Facebook =D

July 3 2009 (Friday)
Went for job interview at G2, Wisma Genting. Thanks to Aaron for recommendation. Interview was a brisk. The people who work at G2 are super good looking and super fashionable. I wanna be like them! =(

Went home after interview. Injured left pinky after a short session of frisbee. Thank God Yinnie taught me how to get rid of the swell or it might get worse. Almost got killed by Aaron for his stupid skills on throwing frisbee. Pfft.

July 4 2009 (Saturday)
Woke up effing early for a one day trip. Thanks to Alex for being our driver. I only know like 3 people from the whole group of people: Alex, Emily and Sing Kiat. The rest are strangers =/ Owh well, they WERE strangers, after the trip they became new found friends =)

I can't upload the pictures and videos here anyway, the photographers are all working peeps la, so they are like quite busy, no time to upload: Alex. I'm like one of the younger participants among the group hahah. Still student ma.

Anyway, 't was fun. Went to Subang to Sing Kiat's church to sign up and get breakfast.

Left Subang to Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam. Sang oldies with Emily in Alex's car. Haha.

Reached Taman Pertanian, Bukit Cahaya. Met up with the Park Manager, Julian. He's cool. Sing Kiat, Alex, Garrot, Emily and I were the lucky ones among the 20 people who get to ride his four wheel drive to the Skytrek section. The rest has to take the bus. Tee hee.

Bukit Cahaya damn peaceful lor. No pictures. Shall upload them when I get them. The sceneries quite nice also. All greens. Shall go there again. This time, I want to cycle up instead of taking the rides.

Reached. Got our harness. Emily and I bought the gloves instead of borrowing them. Why? Just because they look cool. Like fighters' gloves lidat. I misplaced them though =( But serioussss, the gloves are super cool. Photos at Alex's camera, sigh. Working people. Pfft.

Had a brief prayer session and a short briefing by one of the instructors there. I'm the 3rd one to go up after Alex. Kim as the game leader, went up 1st. Hahah. She's so adorable, I thought she's my age, look super young, but gah, I was damn wrong.

That's Kim =)

Completed the mini training. Went for the BIG THRILL! There's 17 obstacle courses, inclusive of around 5 flying fox and 1 tarzan swing. Only 1km though and 13-17m above ground. Extreme is higher and further, with more obstacle courses! But more expensive la haha. I was abit careless that day, now to think of it, swinging on a pipe 17m above ground is super dangerous... zzz. What was I doing standing on a pipe and start swinging -_-" No wonder the trainer there said I was brave. I didn't even think about the consequences. Dumb.

Big thrill is alright la. They said it's tiring, okay only la. I can see my stamina has decreased a whole lot d... shrugs. Fun though =D I'm going for the Extreme one next time! Wheee~

Sigh. No photos yet, Alex la haven't upload =((( But it's fun la seriously. And I had a good time knowing new people =D Thanks Sing Kiat for inviting. The whole package is like RM35 man. Super worth it. Sibeh dai. Lunch and games and worship sessions and thoughts sharing session after skytrekking.

Was asked to share my experience and thoughts too.

And group picture before we leave :)

Whoops not prepared yet -_-

Went back to Subang in Pastor Sam's car.

Pastor Sam

Kim, Emily and I slept throughout the whole journey back. Hahah. Went back home in Ruey Wen's car. Very nice of her to drive the 4 of us home.

Went to Ebooks to collect my June's salary, short RM6. Pfft. Whatever la. Dinner at the hawker place behind Taman Bahagia LRT Station with family cause of my sudden cravings for Mee Jawa. Lol. Super bloated. Had so much for dinner. No wonder I'm getting fatter and fatter. Pfft.

July 5 2009 (Sunday)
Supposed to go work at 1pm. But Uncle's treating lunch at Kuala Selangor. So yar, skipped half day of my job to go makan. Took plenty of photos. With my aunt's camera la, again la working people no time to upload =( I understand as I'm like working now too, good thing I'm only a part timer. Full time jobs suck.

Good food. Gah, fat fat fat. Was learning how to blow a bubblegum from my 7 year old cousin sister -_-" She's damn pro at it. Gah. I failed miserably and had a headache too. FAIL!

Chewing and attempting to blow a bubble...

Start stressing for not being able to do so...

Headache

Camwhored with siblings throughout the journey back home. Lol. Despite the age gap between all of us. No wonder I fit in with them, seeing that I'm so childish myself -_-"

Work from 6pm to 10pm. Had good time chatting with Charmane. Leon left early cause he was sick. Awwwww.

July 6 2009 (Monday)
Work. Was stucked with Leon alone for the closing shift. Luckily he was there la though, super entertaining. Hahah. Yinnie and some friend of Leon's dropped by to kacau xD Funny humans.

July 7 2009 (Tuesday)
Work.

July 8 2009 (Wednesday)
Work. Got called to go for some promoting job for Whisper (yes the sanitary pads) in August. Got many clashes dammit, but managed to get to work for 4 days at Giant, Kelana Jaya in mid-August. COME VISIT ME! Lol. Oh yea, Mum agreed to buy me my first pair of crocs. WHeeeee.

July 9 2009 (Thursday)
Work.

July 10 2009 (Friday)
Woke up super early for some warehouse sale at SS2. Hahah. Got myself nice stuffs. Rushed home to bathe and breakfast then ran to catch the train and bus to college to deal with some stuffs with lecturer advisor for Student Council. Went Jalan Telawi in Li Qi's car, that shopaholic of a girl Hahah. Awesome time straying around with Jean, Li Qi and Joseph before meeting. Went to McD for student council meeting, awesome huh?

Meeting was good. Reminds me of HMC Student Council =) this is getting better than what I'm expecting d. Ash is awesome. She's a senior in HMC Student Council, a year earlier than my batch. She's super efficient and I guess we are lucky to have her man. She offered to fetch me back to college, but mid-way we all decided to go check out the hotels and get the quotations as well that day since we don't really have much in our hands yet.

So off we go. She has contacts at Seri Pacific Hotel while I've got Li Foong for the contact of The Legend Hotel.

You know what? It's like joining Student Council teaches me ALOT of stuffs, one of them is about public transportations. Hahaha. I rode the public buses the first time last year for HMC events stuffs and also many times of monorail and LRT rides thanks to sponsors searching. Now thanks to hotels visiting, I had to find my way home and the nearest public transport system is the KTM -_-" I have never taken the KTM before ><" So I just went to try and asked around. Owh well, now I finally know how to get to Sentul ahaha, Debra =D I'm awesome!

July 11 2009 (Saturday)
Woke up late... -_-" Missed basketball session with my old teammates =( Went for this Leo PJI Annual Installation thingy. Jack invited us to go. US, meaning, me, Yinnie, Ze Xiang, Ben, Yen and Kevin. Hahah. It's a blardy amount of RM10 man. Oh well, quite worth it la. Funny entertainment, ahem, MJ wannabe, an opportunity to watch Jack dance, CUTE GUYS xD, good food, freebies =)

And we only found out that Jack's the event chairperson only on that day itself while looking through the event's agenda. Pro pro. Am so proud of him la.

Offered to work 4 hours that day since there's a lack of staffs at work. I'm so nice =)

July 12 2009 (Sunday)
Work work work. Had a good time with Charmane and Leon la. They are awesome. Wait till Charmane resumes working then I shall go kacau her and Leon, go dimsum for breakfast!! xD

Was my last day at Ebooks though. Took some pictures for remembrance.

Charmane and I, awesome new friend. Really nice person to talk to.

LEON! The funny guy. I knew him since secondary school la though. Stupid boy. The endless merajuk-ing at work and pranks and his dumb moonwalking -_-"

All of us. Except Leon and Kwok Joon. I miss Kwok Joon =(

And on the last few minutes of my work at Ebooks. My beloved park kakiis came to kacau. Hahah. Love all of them laaaaa. It's like Yinnie came in and I was already surprised about her visiting me so suddenly without notifying me first. Then, in came Ze Xiang. I thought it was a coincidence and start making a big hoo haa out of it. Paiseh.

Then, Lucas came in, I was even more amazed and start staring at all of them. Then, Jeremy and Jack came in. I knew there's something fishy already. They are not that good in acting also anyway, ding dongs, all pakat kena me. Funny la. Then, Kevin walked in. I started to jump around the counter d. Was so surprised la. Lastly, Ben just walked in when they were about to leave. ZZZZZZ. Damn lame la all of them to surprise me that way. Had something to laugh about la though. Hahah. Love all of them la. Ze Xiang told me to start going to the basketball court more often since I quit my job d. I WILL I WILL! =D

Hence, the end of my stress and agony of being bored at work in Ebooks. Hope Ms Tay doesn't read my blog... =/ She's awfully nice and I don't want to upset her la. She's my boss by the way. Haha.

July 13 2009 (Monday)
Went for my Standard 6 Class reunion lunch at the Garden in One Utama. The attendance was pretty good, better than I expected la. Hahah. Tried remembering names and had fun catching up. Been years, long time wei. Was like having a 6 to 8 years worth of catching up. Endless conversations. After lunch at Garden, we proceed to Neway for karaoke session. Most of us kinda got comfortable to each other again after karaoke. Funny moments la there. We got the nice nice VIP room! =D And I applied for a Neway member card -_-" And to think that's the first time when I actually really participate in a karaoke session. Normally I just stone there hahah.

Si Jin recorded a video of us singing our last song. Hahah. It's in Facebook.

Paid RM16 for it. Inclusive of drinks and snacks. And the good company made it all worth while. Though it's like 4 hours worth of my pay =(

Dinner after that with Jia Jian, Chia Jie, Heng Luen, Si Jin, Zhen and Ann. Jia Jian and Chia Jie left early to go Camp5. So the rest of us stayed back to have small chats. So much to update each other, about future plans to love life, secondary school stuffs to random stuffs like car accidents and robbery experiences. So much has happened in 8 years. The things we wanted to talk about are endless la. Sat there for like 3 hours, just chatting.

Left One Utama around 10.30pm. Thank you Heng Luen for fetching me back!!!

Pictures:

Group picture :D

Alvin couldn't join us =( He broke his leg. So we planned to visit him on Wednesday. Hahah. Awesome time la that day. I miss everyone =(

July 14 2009 (Tuesday)
Busy busy. Went to college to gao tim student council stuffs. Managed to get updates la. But plenty more to deal with. Going back to college on Friday to get proposals and all signed. Woot. Student council life. You hate it but you still have to love it. It's a love-hate relationship la. Haha. Met up with Mr. Loh, chat abit, bumped into Ragu, damn, didn't see him for so damn long. Went to meet up with Li Foong after that, so awesome, she passed me RM15 for my allowance during the UniKL Netball tournament. Nice =)

Thanks Li Foong for fetching me home after that. Went to meet up with Victoria and go for basketball again after for so long. My basketball skills suck, not like it's any good before, but it's even worse than last time. So can imagine how bad it is now la. Pfft. But had fun though. Super long didn't sweat, stamina decreased like mad. Need to start training la dammit. My current objective is to enter the Penang Bridge Marathon. Must get timetable all to confirm. It's like a once a year experience la. Don't want to miss it again =/

Yum char with Victoria after basketball session. Sat there for like 2 hours chatting about the past in HMC and all. Sigh. I really need to catch up with many friends.

July 15 2009 (Wednesday)
Long day today ><" Kinda got up late. Was super exhausted from yesterday's exercise. Dammit la. Need to play sports more often again. Gets so tired so easily wan now. OMG. Anyway, went to One Utama to visit Ann Teh at work. Waited for 1 hour plus for Victoria to watch Public Enemies with her -_-"

The movie's good, very long though, butt hurts. Will blog about my opinion about it later. Not quite a review again, just a cincai bakcai opinion of mine xD

After movie, dinner with Ann and Victoria at Jusco Arena. OMG! We found the best, awesome-est Tao Fu Fah everrrrrr!!!!!!! Oh, and I got my hand burnt by soup due to me being klutzy. Gah. Victoria was like saying I should have screamed and all and I'm weird for not screaming about things when I'm supposed to be screaming. Blablabla -_-"

Sean called and asked to meet up after his movie. Jees! I miss him so much la that Sean. However, have to make my way to KBU already before it gets dark. So yea, missed the chance to meet up with him =( Victoria tagged along... IN HER HIGH HEELS! Hahah. Pity her la. Walked all the way from One Utama to KBU. Took us around 25 minutes to reach there. Hahah. Normally it only takes 10 to 15 minutes la. Owh well, good job Vic! LOL.

Made friends there, Jade and Hui Peng. Met a very very old friend of mine too, Yi Ping. Omg. Miss her so much. She super skinny d la... *Envious* look at me la gg fatty T_T Hahah. Learned abit of backhand throws there until 8pm.

Went Centrepoint for a drink and waited for Zhen to reach McD. Bumped into Matthew Cher at Starbucks! Hahah. Long time no see too, still mean as ever to me. Pfft.

Had a brief chat with Zhen when Alvin reached McD and came knocking my head. Shrugs. He always kick my chair back in primary school. Pfft. Never change. Bully bully! And we only realised when Zhen pointed out that Alvin and I know each other like 4/5 of my life! That's very long! And having to be in the same class as him from 6 years old all the way to Standard 6 is something. Hahah. Ann and Si Jin joined us shortly after.

There's this weird familiar sense of comfortability when I'm with them. Kinda reminds me of something that I couldn't remember back in my childhood. Probably it's the times when we hang out when we were young. Bad memory la me gahhh.

Zhen has to leave early =( Si Jin was complaining that the night is still young, so we went DJ's Blitzone for a round of L4D. Had fun. Was super lousy at it la still -_-"

Me and Alvin at Blitzone

Ann and Si Jin complained that they are hungry. So off we went to Murni for a quick bite and small chit chats. Alvin never been to Murni before, poor dude, staying in Sydney must be super sad lor =( HAHA. And Si Jin too, couldn't have enough of Malaysia's night life, probably is the ongoing stress and competition in Singapore. Sadddddd. Funny guy.

HOR! STEAL MY FOOD!

1st time I got my Roti Hawaii with a mayo spider web design! AWESOME!

Alvin with his Roti Dragon

Rest of the photos on Facebook. Malas upload la. Blogger takes a long time to upload. Gah.

Had fun chatting and catching up.

July 16 2009 (Thursday)
Alvin is leaving today to Sydney again =( Dunno when will be the next time I'll see him. But, we will have another gathering 3 years later! It's a promise! =D

Okay. Gotta run. Running practice with Brandon and his clicks. Super random of him to form a training gang. Awesome. Now I got more places to go whenever I'm bored and it's related to weight losing thingymajig. I'm fat. Don't laugh. Bla. Late. Bye. Blog later on Public Enemies =D

The Giving Tree

Was doing some final stock checking on some old recipe books and also some children's storybooks. Came across a few good ones which I never read before. But there's one that really left a huge impact. It's super good and so sad... anyway, I googled it a few hours ago and also Youtube-d it, just to try my luck, hoping I would come across any nice videos. And yeap, I got one that really touched my heart and I felt this weird aching feeling in my chest after watching it. Reminds me of the stories about Jesus, gives but never expect anything back.

The real life action of it...

And I came across a more violent and vulgar version. Har Har. Literally died for love la. Still, horrible horrible boy!

Gah! It's 6.20am and yeap, I didn't sleep the whole of last night! Gees! And to think I have a job interview later, like 6 hours later? And I probably won't sleep la. Need to do house chores. Probably go get some shut eye now. For like... 2 hours??? Gah. Better than nothing.

And before I log off...

Hahah! Burger King!

Michael Jackson, the Man, the Legend, the King of Pop

Shrugs. I took 3 days to blog about this. My bad habit of procrastinating and leave work half done is getting worse. Zzz. Even for the previous entry, I took like 5 days to actually publish it. This is getting bad.

-----------------------
Michael Jackson (1958-2009) has left us few days ago.

Initially, I did not really bothered much actually, just felt that it's a waste for a talent to go at such young age. A pity. He was only 50. Did not put too much thought about this. Then, I was reminded about how I used to like his songs years back on Sunday when I was working at Ebooks. Every Sunday there will be Pasar Malam right in front of the place I'm currently working at. And when there's Pasar Malam, there will be those cd stalls blasting music (yay free entertainment, that's why I like working on Sunday nights), and that night, all the cd stalls (4 of them) are all playing Michael Jackson's songs, probably a tribute to him.

I have listened to all of his songs before, though I don't think I can remember all of them. Was a fan of his years back, grew up listening to his songs, remembered dad kept replaying the tape for me when I was damn young. I think I requested for replays -_- Then, I probably got tired of his songs. Mind you, I never worship or crush over any celebrities before, just admire them and watch/ listen to their songs in awe. Okay fine, I had a crush on only ONE celebrity, Lance Bass from *NSync. And apparently, he turned out to be gay. Gees-sus. Was emo weih that period of time. Hahah.

Anyway, I digress. So, I remember having a sudden urge to watch all MJ's mv again in Form 3 or Form 4. And I did. After that, I lost interest again. But still, I was once MJ's fan and I still love his songs and admire his talent. Though all the rumours and also, news of him dangling his kid out the window and drug addiction did not do him good.

I kinda wondered why everyone start acting like they care about MJ all their life when he passed away; what was the situation when he was alive? Many insulted him, the public and media gave him a hard time, even his so called "friends" sued him just to suck his pockets dry, wanting to earn some quick buck. Whether he's a paedophile, I'm not sure, no solid proof of whether he is or not also la. Anyway, many joked about him, Eddie Murphy did, you did, they did, I did once or twice about him dangling his kid. Now to think about it, kinda feel guilty about it. But, he was alive back then, so the situation's kinda different la (self assurance, don't mind me). Anyway, to make up for it, Imma gonna post up this video which explains:

1. Why MJ bleached his skin white?
NOOOO, it's not for some youth joke, Li Foong claimed she read it in the news. Bahhh Humbug.
2. Why MJ did plastic surgery on his nose?
NOOOO, he's not obsessed with going under the knives and he doesn't enjoy the slicing of his flesh. Though I'm not sure about that, but most people don't appreciate it right?
3. Is MJ a paedophile?

Thank JumbaFund for the tribute. I got the link from Mcampton's tweet. Thanks Dr Popcorn!

Have yet to listen to MJ's songs again. But, I remembered a few songs... vaguely. Black or White and Human Nature are my favourites. Earth Song too. Sent it to Li Foong 2 days ago, she too like the lyrics, though we have different opinion about the song itself. I like it; it's not really her cup of tea.

Stumbled upon this video featuring a few famous artists from different music genre years back singing "We Are The World". MJ is in too. Awesome song. Ahhh, the old times... my kindergarten mates and I sang this song during our annual concert back when we were 5.

Anyway, it's a good song. MJ co-write it too. I kept listening to it for the past hour.

And Michael's own version...

I think this song just replaced New Divide as my current favourite song -_-"

Once again, R.I.P. Michael Jackson. You will forever be remembered as that iconic legend, the King of Pop.
